Mallorca will once again take the pulse of its cuisine on a small scale with a new edition of TaPalma. The competition, which will take place on November 2 at the Palma Convention Center, will bring together 20 culinary entries competing in two categories: Tapa TaPalma and Tapa Sobrassada de Mallorca IGP. The event will be followed by a tour of 41 restaurants, scheduled for November 4–8, which will bring the competition to the city’s bars and dining tables.
Organized by AgenciaCom and Restauración Mallorca CAEB, the competition aims to strengthen the island’s gastronomic reputation and its position within the Spanish culinary scene. Ten dishes will compete in each category for the top honor, in an event that combines the creativity of the chefs with a focus on local ingredients.
The competition will kick off with the category dedicated to Mallorca IGP Sobrassada, one of the island’s most recognizable food products. The following establishments will participate: S’Hort – Casino Mallorca, Buscando el Norte, Racó Morralla, Mesón Teresa, Chez Camille BBQ, Bankai Santa Catalina, Cosmópolis, Manso Bar&Café, and Mundano Cenador.
The Tapa TaPalma category will feature La Mona Vermutería, Restaurante Terra, Racó La Taberna de Rafa, Buscando el Norte, Morralla, Mundano Cenador, S’Hort – Casino Mallorca, Bankai, and Chez Camille BBQ.

From the Competition to the Table
The event at the Palacio de Congresos will serve as the prelude to the TaPalma Mallorca 2026 Route, which will take place from November 4 to 8 with 41 participating establishments. For five days, tapas-style cuisine will take center stage on a culinary tour that will bring together different dining concepts and allow the public to discover what the participating establishments have to offer.
The list of participants includes Atípic Cafè, Bankai Santa Catalina, Bar At. Baleares, Bar Jose’s 2, Bar Pigalle, Beatnik, Bellaombra, Bendito Gusto, Born 8, Buscando el Norte, Cafetería Jose’s, Can Frasquet, Chez Camille BBQ, Cosmopolis, Diecisiete Grados, and D’Presión.
Also included are El Bandarra, El Perrito Sa Feixina, Finca14, La Barra de Bendita, La Despensa del Barón, La Fonda, La Mona Vermutería, La Nueva Cruz Blanca, La Previa Palma, Central, La Rosa Vermutería, La Taberna de Rafa, Mamá Xelo, Manataco, Manso Bar&Café, Mesón Teresa, Morralla, and Mundano Cenador. Local Products Take Center Stage
Among the sponsors of this edition is Eroski, whose head of Institutional Relations in the Balearic Islands, Joana Manresa, has emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that help promote local products and make them more accessible to both restaurant professionals and consumers.
Mallorca IGP Sobrassada, for its part, will have its own dedicated section in the competition. Silvia Terradas, head of the Regulatory Council’s Tasting Panel, highlighted the product’s culinary potential and its versatility in the kitchen.
TaPalma thus once again places the tapa at the heart of its concept: an approach that allows restaurants to channel their technical expertise, creativity, and culinary identity into a small-format dish, with locally sourced ingredients serving as one of its main selling points.
