The CaixaForum Palma Summer Nights will come to an end this Thursday with the ‘Night of Magic and Objects,’ an evening dedicated to magic, object theater, and visual shows with light and shadows.
The day’s main event will be ‘Eclipse’ by the artist Léo Rousselet, a performance that combines object theater and visual experimentation, which will be performed in the cultural center’s auditorium from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
The program will also feature performances by magicians Pere Rafart and Enzo Lorenzo, which will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:30 PM. Rafart, an award winner in various magic competitions, is also a co-owner of El Rei de la Màgia, considered the oldest magic shop in the world, founded in 1881 in Barcelona. Lorenzo, for his part, will combine magic and humor in his show.
The center will also host the close-up magic show ‘Todo está escrito’ by Joan Cassanyes from Mallorca, with two performances from 6:30 to 7:15 PM and from 7:45 to 8:30 PM, as well as a magic and games workshop for families led by Magician Patricia, also in two sessions from 6:00 to 6:30 and from 7:15 to 7:45.
The program will be rounded out with a theremin workshop led by Javier Díez, in which participants can try out this instrument, which is characterized by being played without physical contact. The workshop is open to everyone aged eight and up and will take place in two sessions: from 6:15 to 7:00 PM and from 7:15 to 8:00 PM.
The ‘la Caixa’ Foundation has organized four themed summer nights at CaixaForum Palma this summer. The series has included the Night of Jazz and Movement, held on July 2; the Night of Circus and Games, on July 9; the Night of Swing, on July 16; and will conclude on July 23 with the Night of Magic and Objects.
During the four days, CaixaForum Palma extended its hours until 10:30 p.m., including the shop and café, which offered a special menu to complement the program.
