Gastronomy has become one of the key factors that distinguishes Mediterranean destinations in terms of tourism and drives economic development. In this context, the fourth edition of the GastroIbz. Gastro Ibiza and Formentera returns on September 18 and 19 to the Ibiza Fairgrounds, along with the 19th Ibiza Beer Fair, consolidating a format that has become the main fall gastronomic event in the Pitiüses.
With an attendance of about 10,000 people, including residents and visitors, the event goes beyond the culinary realm to become a platform for promoting the primary sector, the hospitality industry, and local agri-food companies. The 2026 edition will focus on two products that embody the islands’ gastronomic identity: extra virgin olive oil and local wines.
For two days, the Exhibition Center will bring together chefs, producers, wineries, olive mills, and industry professionals in a program that will combine cooking demonstrations, tastings, roundtables, and educational activities focused on the value of locally sourced products and sustainability in the agri-food supply chain.
One of the highlights will be the paired tasting of local olive oils and wines, an experience designed to showcase the unique organoleptic qualities of both products. The climatic and soil conditions of Ibiza and Formentera grant them distinctive characteristics—especially their saline notes—that reinforce their position within contemporary Mediterranean cuisine.

The program will begin on Thursday, September 18, with an opening ceremony hosted by actor David Pomar and a traditional performance by the Colla de Sa Bodega. From then on, there will be a series of live cooking demonstrations, tastings, and meet-and-greets with some of the most prominent figures in Pitius cuisine.
Friday’s program will close out the event with new culinary demonstrations and an entertainment lineup featuring performances by DJs Miguel Vera (Los 40 Baleares), Jordi Cardona, Toni Torres, and Petit y Vázquez (La Movida), further reinforcing the event’s experiential nature. New this year, the event will also feature an official merchandise booth.
A driving force for the local economy
Beyond its recreational appeal, the GastroIbz. Fair has established itself as an economic revitalization tool for the island’s business community. Restaurants, producers, distributors, and food-related businesses consider this event a prime showcase to present their offerings to both end consumers and industry professionals. The application deadline remains open until August 15 for establishments interested in participating in the event with a culinary booth or a food truck.
Organized by Eventos Musicales Ibiza and Imam Comunicación, the fair is primarily sponsored by the Council of Ibiza, through Ibiza Travel, and by the Town Hall of Ibiza. Other collaborating organizations include the Council of Formentera, the Town Hall of Sant Antoni de Portmany, the Town Hall of Santa Eulària des Riu, and the Town Hall of Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

The collaboration with the Ibiza Beer Fair, which is now celebrating its nineteenth edition and features more than 200 national and international beers, has made it possible to create a unique event that combines gastronomy, leisure, and the promotion of the region. The result is an event that continues to gain prominence on the national calendar and helps reinforce the image of Ibiza and Formentera as top-tier gastronomic destinations year-round.
