Pershing Yachts has celebrated the launch of the fifth Pershing 140, its iconic high-performance aluminum superyacht built at the Superyacht Yard in Ancona. The 42-meter-long model retains the brand’s signature sporty DNA, while introducing a fully customized layout focused on the social experience on board and the sophistication of its outdoor spaces.
An exterior design that reinforces Pershing’s sporty DNA
The Pershing 140 retains the sharp silhouette and flowing lines that define the Italian shipyard’s design language. Its two main decks and spacious sundeck reinforce a presence that is both elegant and bold, a look further accentuated by the new glossy white exterior finish chosen by the owner.
One of the model’s most recognizable features remains the large side fins integrated into the superstructure at the start of the outer aisles, a design element that adds visual character and enhances the sense of spaciousness.
The interior reflects this same design philosophy through a palette of light tones and refined materials that enhance the natural light and create a sense of contemporary elegance.
A custom layout designed with onboard social life in mind
The fifth unit of the Pershing 140 features significant layout modifications to suit the owner’s lifestyle. The most significant change is in the aft beach club area, where the space typically used for the garage to store water toys has been converted into an exclusive social area with a fully equipped central bar.
The outdoor deck is organized into several tiered areas. The first features sofas and armchairs facing a large sun deck, while a second, elevated area has been designed as a sheltered outdoor dining area, seating ten guests and offering a particularly elegant atmosphere thanks to its glass-enclosed side openings.
Inside the main deck, the formal dining room is centered around a round table that seats eight, flanked by a bar cabinet on the starboard side. Next, the main salon features an open and airy design, with freestanding sofas and armchairs facing the television.
The master suite occupies the entire forward section of the main deck and has been customized with an L-shaped sofa and additional storage space.
Four VIP cabins and increased guest capacity
The lower deck features four guest cabins, all with private bathrooms and decorated in soft tones. The owner has requested the addition of Pullman beds to increase accommodation capacity, allowing two of the cabins to accommodate up to three people each.
Both VIP cabins feature double beds, one of which can be converted into two single beds to provide greater operational flexibility during voyages.
Panoramic sundeck and bow jacuzzi
The outdoor areas once again take center stage on this Pershing 140. The sundeck serves as a true panoramic terrace equipped with a bar, lounge sofas, poufs, and a second helm station with three pilot seats for enjoying the open-air sailing experience. At the bow is another relaxation area with a built-in jacuzzi and ample sunbathing space, accessible via the side decks.
The Pershing 140 was developed through a collaboration between naval architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the group’s engineering department.
From a technical standpoint, the superyacht is powered by four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each producing 2,600 HP, coupled with a waterjet propulsion system that enables a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.
