My job gives me a certain amount of “privileged access” to many of the world’s largest superyachts. But the truth is, no one has the level of access that Toby Moore does. As CEO of Informa Prestige, he is leading the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, which attracts more large superyachts than any other boat show.
And after speaking with him recently, I’m even more excited to have exclusive access to all the largest yachts at this year’s event (highlighted below), which begins next week at Monaco’s famous Port Hercules. But Toby also reminds me that the Monaco Yacht Show has much more to offer than just the largest collection of superyachts gathered in the small but powerful principality. I’ll let him explain.
“This is your first year overseeing such an important and unique event. How’s it going? What are you looking forward to?” I ask him.
“It’s been really interesting,” he says. “First of all, I feel a deep sense of responsibility. Having been here as an exhibitor—as CEO of Boat International—and now being on the organizing side, I truly see the real weight and also the enormous complexity of pulling off events on this scale. The good news is that we have many people who have been part of the organization for 10, 15, or 20 years. That experience, knowledge, and expertise are fantastic.”
“In addition to the extensive collection of yachts—which this year include vessels measuring over 100 meters—we are always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience. In fact, we want the show to reflect the lifestyles of superyacht buyers and charterers. The Monaco Yacht Show is special because the leaders of virtually every major company in the yachting industry are gathered in one special place: Monaco. “I think the Monaco Yacht Show is the best show of the year,” I say. “But… since I write about superyachts, I might be a little biased. Still, I’m also American. So I ask myself: How would you describe the MYS to my American readers? And better yet, why should they make the trip to Monaco instead of waiting for one of the American shows?” I ask him.
“The growing U.S. presence at the Monaco Yacht Show doesn’t go unnoticed,” he says. “With Americans owning 25% of the global fleet of large yachts, they are a key audience that the entire industry pays close attention to. But I think many American buyers would agree that the Monaco Yacht Show is a little more special because all the heads of the major shipyards, as well as designers, naval architects, and creative directors, will be here. And being able to hold face-to-face meetings quickly and easily with such a wide range of decision-makers at the earliest stage of a project is essential.”

Leviathan
Leviathan is a 111-meter/363-foot diesel-electric yacht that embodies a new philosophy of yachting: one that brings greater purpose to how yachts are built, operated, and owned. Through a combination of hull testing and optimization, technical platform configuration, and efforts focused on reducing noise and vibrations, it offers a unique experience for those who live and work on board.
NIXIE
Making its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, the 102-meter/334-foot NIXIE joins Edmiston’s charter fleet as a significant new addition. Launched by Lürssen in 2026, she combines Northern European engineering with the contemporary design language of the British firm RWD. Defined by a serene, architectural silhouette and refined proportions, NIXIE is designed around a strong connection to the sea, with spacious living areas spread across five decks.
That sense of openness continues throughout the interior. Large windows bring natural light all the way to the rear of the yacht, while the spacious layout and a restrained palette of materials create a sophisticated, serene, and welcoming atmosphere. Accommodations are distributed across 10 cabins for up to 12 guests and additional crew, including a private deck for the owner.
Well-being, entertainment, and time on the water are at the heart of the onboard experience. A dedicated spa, a 144-square-meter gym, a 7.5-meter infinity pool, movie theaters, and a 126-square-meter beach club are among its defining features, creating a yacht that balances scale and intimacy, as well as private retreat and shared experiences.
Draak
Originally delivered by Oceanco in 2014, the Draak has now completed a comprehensive refit at Oceanco’s Life Cycle Support facility in Zwijndrecht. Formerly known as Equanimity and Tranquility, the 93-meter/305-foot yacht has been retrofitted to support scientific research and marine exploration as a support vessel for the Leviathan.
The project brought together Oceanco’s Life Cycle Support team, the co-makers, and representatives from the shipowner YTMC and Inkfish, along with the crews of both the Draak and the Leviathan. Since the two yachts were designed to operate together, both teams worked closely to align onboard functionality and ensure smooth operations.
Angelique
Turquoise Yachts’ 87.7-meter/285-foot flagship was launched in Istanbul earlier this year and marks a significant milestone for the builder, which has been constructing steel and aluminum yachts since the 1970s. Not only is it the largest yacht the shipyard has ever built, but it is also the largest yacht ever built in Turkey and represents the latest chapter in a long-standing collaboration (spanning 12 projects over 17 years) between Turquoise and the London-based design firm H2 Yacht Design.
PANGEA
Making its debut at the show, the 80-meter/262-foot Amels 80 PANGEA offers the opportunity to experience firsthand the scale, craftsmanship, and innovation of this design. Scheduled for delivery in October 2025, it combines advanced hybrid technology, a highly customized design, and generous spaces for leisure, entertainment, and relaxation.
The Amels 80 PANGEA draws on Amels’ generations of experience in yacht building and the established Amels 80 concept, introduced in 2022. It reflects a serene and thoughtful vision of contemporary luxury, combining proven engineering with meticulous craftsmanship and a highly personalized onboard environment.
Its exterior design by Espen Øino gives the Amels 80 PANGEA a sleek, elongated silhouette, combined with Amels’ unmistakable sense of security.
