Ryanair has unveiled its summer 2026 flight schedule for the Balearic Islands, featuring expanded routes and increased frequencies that strengthen the archipelago’s connections to key European markets. The airline is adding three new routes from Palma and significantly increasing its operations in Ibiza, in line with growing tourist demand.
At Palma Airport, the airline will operate a total of 79 routes, including new connections to Friedrichshafen (Germany), Gdańsk (Poland), and Malta. In addition, it will increase frequencies to destinations such as Naples, Warsaw, and Zagreb, reaching up to 715 weekly flights—a 2% increase compared to last summer. This operation will be supported by the 16 aircraft based on the island, an estimated investment of $1.6 billion that helps sustain more than 6,900 local jobs.
In Ibiza, Ryanair will offer 33 routes and 226 weekly flights, with increased capacity on routes such as London, Marseille, and Rome. This expansion represents an 8% increase compared to the previous summer season. Meanwhile, Menorca will have 18 routes and 90 weekly flights, strengthening its connections to both the Spanish mainland and various European destinations.
Along with the announcement of this schedule, the company has reiterated its concern over Aena’s proposed increase in airport fees, which calls for a 21% rise over five years. Ryanair believes this scenario could undermine the competitiveness of air travel in Spain and hinder the growth of tourism by driving up operating costs and potentially shifting capacity to other European markets.
The airline emphasizes, however, its commitment to the Balearic Islands, where it continues to expand its offerings for the 2026 summer season in response to strong domestic and international demand.
