The M/V HEED, the fully custom-built 173-foot (approximately 52.7-meter) yacht that Rossinavi unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, is a stylish collaboration between the Italian superyacht builder, exterior designer Alberto Mancini Yacht Design, interior designer Achille Salvagni Architetti, and Matty Zadnikar of SeaNet SuperYachts—the owner’s representative, who coordinated the designers and the construction process.

“It has been an extremely exciting project, one that will undoubtedly leave its mark on the market,” said Federico Rossi, Director of Operations at Rossinavi. “With spacious open areas, a panoramic owner’s cabin, and a large pool, this yacht is designed for life on board, prioritizing functionality without sacrificing style.”

As one would expect from a yacht built by Rossinavi, the exterior design of the M/V HEED is contemporary and clean. “Working within the 499 GT threshold allowed us to rethink proportions and space with greater freedom,” says Alberto Mancini of Alberto Mancini Yacht Design. “Placing the owner’s suite at the bow, on the upper deck, creates a more serene and intimate connection with the sea. Meanwhile, the metallic gray hull reveals the beauty of the yacht’s clean, sculpted surfaces through a delicate interplay of light and shadow throughout the day.”

And after touring the boat in Monaco recently, I can say from personal experience that the designers’ description of the interior is spot on: “The walls curve rather than end. The ceilings rise and fall. The furniture seems to emerge from the architecture. And the forms appear to be shaped by erosion rather than drawn, creating a fluid, almost dreamlike landscape in which nature becomes architecture.”

This is particularly evident on the main deck, where the dining and living areas have been deliberately separated. It was surely a challenge for Achille Salvagni’s team, but the result is stunning. The dining room exudes an ethereal feel thanks to the sweeping curves of the walls and ceiling, covered in a wave of white shells, and opens onto a large balcony. The separate living room, meanwhile, becomes “a setting for conversation.”

What I like most about this yacht is the idea that luxury is defined by emotional comfort—through textures, generous curves, understated materials, and the ever-changing quality of light—rather than by abundance.

“From the very beginning, I was interested in creating a world suspended somewhere between the sea and the sky,” says Achille Salvagni. “An interior without rigidity, where architecture seems to lose its conventional boundaries and become something softer, more instinctive, almost alive.”

“I wanted the interior of this yacht to give the impression that it had not been designed, but rather shaped by the forces around it: by water, wind, light, and time.”

All I can say is: Wow!
