One of the most acclaimed superyachts ever to come out of the Lürssen shipyards has just hit the market. The 95.2-meter-long Whisper has been listed exclusively by Will Christie of Christie Yachts at a price of 149 million euros, or about 173 million dollars at the current exchange rate.
Delivered in 2014 under the name Kismet, the megayacht was originally built for Shahid Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. To date, the Pakistani-American businessman has commissioned three custom yachts from Lürssen, one of which was also named Kismet. With exteriors designed by Espen Øino International, interiors by Reymond Langton Design, and naval architecture by Lürssen, the Whisper (then known as Kismet) won a World Superyacht Award in 2015 for its innovative design.
Although it has been on the water for a decade now, the yacht recently underwent an extensive interior renovation by Los Angeles-based designer Michael S. Smith, resulting in brighter spaces with a contemporary feel.

With a beam of 13.7 meters, the Whisper offers a wide array of spaces for relaxation and entertainment spread across five decks, including a double-height main salon, a dining room with a table for 18 guests, a formal lounge, a movie theater that also serves as an additional guest lounge, a gym with terraces that open out to the sea, and a beauty salon. The spa, one of the highlights of the renovation, includes a hammam, a spa pool, a cold plunge pool, a steam shower, and a massage room. The yacht features seven cabins with capacity for 12 guests and accommodations for up to 27 crew members; the owner’s cabin offers panoramic views, a fireplace, a skylight, two en-suite bathrooms, a walk-in closet, and a private Jacuzzi.

On the outer deck, the sundeck features a 12-meter mosaic pool with a skylight that illuminates the lower decks, as well as a built-in hot tub, lounge chairs, and a bar. The selection of water sports equipment is equally impressive, featuring jet skis, e-foils, Seabobs, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, wakeboards, and a motorboat for water skiing.

In terms of propulsion, the Whisper is equipped with two Caterpillar engines that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with a range of 7,400 nautical miles when traveling at 12 knots.

“It’s always exciting to bring a boat of the Whisper’s size, quality, and prestige to market,” Christie’s told Robb Report. “Building a similar yacht today would cost more than double its asking price, with a delivery time of four to five years, so this is a unique opportunity to acquire one of the finest yachts built in recent years, ready to enjoy immediately.”
The Whisper will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
