The third edition of the Beso Beach Sailing Fest will take place on May 22 and 23, 2026, establishing itself as one of the most unique events on the Mediterranean sailing calendar. Sports, social commitment, and lifestyle come together in a charity sail connecting Puerto Portals with Formentera in support of ALS research.
A charity regatta with its own unique character
The Beso Beach Sailing Fest 2026 returns with a program that goes beyond the purely sporting aspect to become a comprehensive nautical experience. The event, organized by the Puerto Portals Yacht Club under the auspices of the Balearic Sailing Federation and in collaboration with Beso Beach, remains firmly committed to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
In this context, the regatta aims not only to attract boat owners and crews, but also to raise awareness among the boating community and the general public about the importance of research and support for those affected by this disease.
A journey through the heart of the Balearic Islands
The cross-island format is once again one of the event’s main attractions. The regatta will take place in two stages, connecting some of the most iconic locations in the Balearic Islands.
The race will start in Puerto Portals, from where the fleet will set sail for Ibiza on May 22. The following day, participants will tackle the second leg to Formentera, where the competition will conclude with an awards ceremony held near Beso Beach Formentera.
This course combines technical sailing with stunning scenery, which helps enhance the event’s international appeal.

A competitive spirit and a festive atmosphere
Beyond the time-based rankings, the Beso Beach Sailing Fest stays true to its unique spirit by focusing on a fun and creative experience. In this edition, the theme—inspired by the 1980s and 1990s—encourages crews to incorporate aesthetic elements from that era, thereby blending the competition with a playful dimension.
The awards will not be limited to athletic performance, but will also recognize aspects such as originality, team spirit, and the best costume. This approach reinforces the event’s inclusive nature and broadens its scope beyond the purely competitive realm.

The second edition of the Beso Beach Sailing Fest, held in 2025, confirmed the event’s potential by bringing together a distinguished fleet of boats and a diverse group of participants, ranging from experienced sailors to amateur crews. The race between Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera took place under favorable weather conditions, allowing for a dynamic and close-fought competition. Additionally, the festive atmosphere and spirit of solidarity resulted in a significant fundraising total for ALS research.
Since its first edition, the Beso Beach Sailing Fest has experienced steady growth in both participation and media coverage. The combination of sailing, community spirit, and the Mediterranean lifestyle has helped establish the regatta as a unique event on the national circuit.
The involvement of institutions, sponsors, and the sailing community has been key to establishing an event that not only promotes sailing but also channels efforts toward a cause with a significant social impact.
