Safety is also part of the experience. Hippy House One Last Summer Dance, the free festival organized and presented by the Ibiza City Council, will finally hold its next edition on Saturday, October 24, after postponing the date originally scheduled for the 17th due to a weather alert for heavy rain issued by the government.

The decision reflects the priority of ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees, citizens, workers, and staff. At an event designed to bring together diverse audiences around music and culture, the right conditions for holding it are essential. In fact, Storm “Adam” has already dropped 28 liters of rain in Es Cubells early this Sunday and caused power outages in Formentera. An orange alert has already been issued for the Pitiusas Islands.

The date change also comes with extended hours: the festival will run from 2:00 p.m. to midnight. This longer schedule will allow for a more robust lineup and the addition of new acts to an event that aims to become one of the island’s premier season-closing festivals.

Food, music, and solidarity: an experience that goes beyond the festival

The program will kick off with a large charity meal at affordable prices, designed to bring the community together early in the day and make the event more than just a musical celebration. Details about this initiative will be announced soon.

The initiative will take place at two iconic locations in the city: Reina Sofía Park and the Baluarte de Sant Pere. Both venues will serve as meeting places for residents, visitors, families, and seasonal workers, offering a mix of music, food, crafts, and participatory activities.

The festival will feature two stages and a lineup that connects Ibiza’s cultural identity with its renowned music scene. TheHub and Ibiza Spotlight will continue to participate on the Second Stage, located at the Baluarte de Sant Pere, where Ibiza Spotlight will celebrate its 50th anniversary, adding a particularly significant milestone to the season’s finale.

The experience will be rounded out with a craft market, traditional workshops, live art, food trucks, local cuisine, and a children’s area featuring games, activities, and face painting. This combination broadens the scope of the event and reinforces its open, intergenerational nature and its connection to the island’s social fabric.

Free admission with prior registration

Beyond its cultural and recreational aspects, Hippy House One Last Summer Dance was created with a clear purpose: to recognize the efforts of seasonal workers and to thank the Ibizan community for its dedication during the busiest months of the year.

On an island whose identity is closely tied to tourism, hospitality, culture, and services, the end of the season is also a time to recognize the people who help keep its appeal and economic activity alive.

The festival thus offers a shared farewell, centered on connection, creativity, and a sense of community. It is a celebration that aims to bring together residents and industry professionals in an environment that combines music, culture, and civic engagement. Next Saturday, October 24, Eivissa will come together once again to bid farewell to summer with one last grand celebration.

Admission to Hippy House One Last Summer Dance will remain free, with advance registration required. Those who have already registered can use the same registration to gain access on the new date. The organizers will announce more details soon about the charity meal and the planned activities.
