This year, 'Art Night' will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Saturday, September 19, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with more than 50 exhibitions and over a hundred artists.
To commemorate this anniversary, the 16 galleries affiliated with Art Palma Contemporani (APC) will present numerous exhibitions, performances, and special events during the 'Art Night' in Palma, Andratx, Pollença, and Santanyí.
Art Palma Contemporani presented this year's edition on Tuesday, highlighting that what began in 1997 as an initiative of the gallery community has become a top-tier cultural event that, each year, brings together galleries, museums, institutions, and cultural spaces from all over the island and attracts artists, professionals, collectors, and the general public.
In addition to the association's gallery circuit, as the APC noted in a subsequent press release, the 2026 program offers a wide range of exhibition projects, cultural events, free guided tours in various languages led by industry professionals, concerts, and gatherings at the island's leading public and private institutions.
These include the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art, the Fundació Miró Mallorca, the Fundación Juan March, the CaixaForum Palma, the Casal Solleric, Can Balaguer, La Llotja, La Misericòrdia, the Museum of Mallorca, and the Museum of Pollença.
They also highlighted the effort made to attract a "large group" of international professionals who will act as "ambassadors" for the local art scene. In addition, the network of partner venues has been expanded with the addition of the iGallery.
Similarly, this year's 'Art Night' features a new visual identity, as they have emphasized, to "embrace a promising future with renewed energies and colors." The visual campaign is inspired by 'dusk,' that moment that "is neither evening nor night."
The City Council of Palma will join this contemporary art event with its own program, distributed across several municipal cultural spaces, which includes exhibitions at Casal Solleric, Can Balaguer, the Fundació Miró Mallorca, and the Espai Cor, which will serve as meeting points for artists and visitors throughout the day, as the City Council indicated in a press release.
First Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture, Tourism, and Sports, Javier Bonet, highlighted during the presentation that the City Council is joining with "enthusiasm" and "great enthusiasm" to combine synergies and efforts for an event that is one of the "most important and significant cultural events in Palma and the Balearic Islands."
He also highlighted that, since its inception, the 'Night of Art' has deservedly earned the reputation of being "the main event of Palma's exhibition program" and highlighted the role of the City Council, along with Art Palma Contemporani, in organizing this initiative, which helps to "project the city as a cultural reference."
Representing other institutions were Vice President and Island Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, and the Autonomous Secretary for Culture and Sports, Pedro Vidal.
Representing Cort, the event was presided over by the General Coordinator of Culture and Tourism, Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta, and, on behalf of the organizers, the president of Art Palma Contemporani, Fran Reus, served as host, accompanied by a large delegation from the cultural, artistic, and gallery sectors.
As for the projects to be presented at Casal Solleric, two exhibitions will open on September 19. First, there will be an exhibition by Rebeca Morey Pérez, a Fine Arts student at Adema and winner of this year's New Talents contest, curated by Biel Amer.
Also opening will be 'Club Miseria: The Last Beat' by Bel Fullana, a large-scale installation curated by Tolo Cañellas that will occupy the courtyard, the showcase, and the loggia of the Solleric. The opening will feature performances by DJs Mare de Déu and Orojondo.
Additionally, Solleric's program includes two exhibitions already open to the public: 'A media lumbre,' a project promoted by the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) in collaboration with Cort, and 'The Essential: Etching Among Etchings,' a selection of graphic works from a major collection.
Can Balaguer will extend its hours on September 19, when it will be open from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM to facilitate visits to the temporary exhibitions "The House and the Forest" and "Gaudí, Intimate Impressions." Additionally, on September 18, the book 'The House and the Forest' will be presented at an event organized by its curator, Janice McNab.
The Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca will open its exhibitions on September 18, which will be open until April 11. Specifically, the Cubic Space will present 'Jora', a temporary installation by Pedro Torres that explores the interaction between alabaster, water, and light.
Meanwhile, the Espai Zero will host 'Alenades' by Mallorcan artist Isabel Servera, a project that revives traditional artisanal techniques linked to the palm leaf work of eastern Mallorca and connects them with the world of Joan Miró, popular traditions, and the Mediterranean landscape.

As for the program at Espai Cor—a space created during this term to further expand the city's cultural and artistic landscape—it includes the exhibition 'The Heart of the Forest'. This project, which will open on September 15, is by the Palma-based artist Fabián Schalekamp, who, among other commitments, also recently participated in Art Cologne, a cultural event that was held for the first time in Palma last April.
