The current CEO of Air Europa, Richard Clark, has joined the board of directors of RCD Mallorca, replacing Glenn Richard Carlson. The soccer club has stated that Clark brings “extensive professional experience” and “close ties to the island,” as well as being a “sports enthusiast” and a fan of the Mallorcan team.
“With this appointment, the board of directors gains the knowledge and experience of a highly respected professional who also has first-hand knowledge of the values of Mallorcan soccer,” he added. RCD Mallorca also expressed its gratitude to Carlson, thanking him for his dedication, commitment, and hard work during his time as a board member, which contributed to the club’s growth and development.
Just this Tuesday, Globalia, the company that owns Air Europa, announced the appointment of new members to the group’s various boards of directors, including that of its airline.
As a result, the latest appointments at Air Europa have seen Juan Moral de la Rosa and Félix Ruiz join the board of directors as new members, along with María José Hidalgo and José María García Santos as non-executive secretary. The rest of the management structure remains unchanged, with Juan José Hidalgo as executive chairman and Richard Clark as chief executive officer.
The management team overhaul comes at a time when the group is embarking on a new phase of expansion. With a strong financial position, increased investment capacity, and a tourism sector that continues to show strength, Globalia aims to consolidate its role, from the Balearic Islands, as one of the leading integrated tourism groups in the Spanish and European markets.
