The restaurant group known for combining quality, culinary excellence, and design in unusual locations has just opened its second restaurant in Mallorca. This time, it has done so in a unique space adjacent to the island’s contemporary art museum, known as Es Baluard.
In harmony with its surroundings, MARiLUZ blends seamlessly with nature, the sea, and local cuisine through a concept that operates from sunrise well into the night, allowing guests to enjoy its offerings throughout the day.

With a minimalist design by Sandra Tarruella, the restaurant incorporates natural materials such as olive wood, fang pottery, and llatra, blending seamlessly with the surroundings of the city walls and the harbor. Meanwhile, stepping outside, the terrace creates an interplay of spaces among sculptures, greenery, and a reflecting pool.

The menu features breakfast and brunch items such as ensaimadas, croissants, fresh juices, specialty toast, and eggs. For lunch, the restaurant offers upscale tapas options like tumbets, fresh salads, and rice dishes—the restaurant’s specialty—such as crayfish stew or green rice with salicornia and fish cheeks.

Beyond rice dishes, chef Alex Durán draws inspiration from the Mediterranean and local ingredients to create delicacies such as raw lemonfish, lobster croquettes, crispy glass shrimp with avocado, and roasted eggplant with sobrasada. Pasta, just like in the group’s other restaurants, takes center stage with dishes such as tagliolini cipriani with anchovies and lemon or paccheri with red mullet and cherry tomatoes. When it comes to fish, fried scorpionfish or sea bass with asparagus, broccoli, and parsnip purée are served alongside meats such as suckling goat with roasted apple or sirloin with three peppers.
At sunset, with unobstructed views of the harbor and Palma Cathedral, you can enjoy a cocktail on the terrace as a prelude to a candlelit dinner under the stars.

To top off the experience, MARiLUZ offers refreshing desserts such as lemon sorbet with extra virgin olive oil and basil, or Mallorcan almond coulant with coffee ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.
All of this can be paired with a wine list featuring a carefully curated selection of Spanish and Mallorcan wines, as well as an outstanding variety of natural and organic wines.
