Female leadership does not follow a single model. It is shaped by different disciplines, unique professional paths, and diverse ways of understanding professional and social impact. This diversity is the central theme of the fifth edition of the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards, which will honor actress and content creator Carola Baleztena, journalist and director of Antena 3 Noticias 1, Sandra Golpe, and Josefina Sánchez-Errázuriz, president of the NGO Nuevo Futuro, with the national Tanit Spirit 2026 awards.
The ceremony will take place on October 24 at the Jesús Cultural Center, with the sponsorship of the Council of Ibiza and the Town Hall of Santa Eulària des Riu. In addition to presenting the awards, the event aims to foster reflection on the challenges women face in developing their careers and in finding a balance between ambition, responsibilities, well-being, and their personal lives.
Led by Eva Ballarin and Alicia Reina, the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards has established itself as a gathering place for female talent connected to the island, with a mission that combines visibility, leadership, and commitment to the local community.
“These awards highlight the leadership journeys of three very different women who have left their mark in various professional fields, but who share a set of values that are deeply rooted in the spirit of Tanit Conexión, such as talent, commitment, and the ability to inspire other women,” say the organizers. From journalism, social responsibility, and the arts, the organizers add, the awardees represent “a model of capability and hard work” for younger generations.
Tanit Ibiza Awards 2026: the female talent that drives the island forward
The national dimension of Tanit Spirit will be complemented by a focus on emerging and developing talent in Ibiza. The Tanit Ibiza 2026 Awards will be presented at the same gala, recognizing ten women born on or residing on the island whose work contributes to the economic, business, social, and cultural development of the region.
The awards will cover areas such as gastronomy, creativity, the hospitality industry, communications, charitable work, entrepreneurship, art, and culture. They will also highlight those women who have paved the way in their respective professions and have helped expand opportunities for others.
This year’s edition will include two posthumous awards. In addition, the identity of one of the winners will be kept secret until the gala, a decision that adds an element of anticipation to an event designed to highlight the diversity of female leadership in Ibiza.
EQUILIBRIA: rethinking success through balance
Balance will be the central theme of this fifth edition. The program invites participants to explore an increasingly relevant issue in the professional sphere: how to reconcile career development, ambition, family, caregiving responsibilities, and personal well-being without these aspects becoming conflicting forces.
The debate will have a practical dimension through EQUILIBRIA, a study launched by Tanit Ibiza Conexión in collaboration with Turijobs and the Spanish Association of Hotel Managers (AEDH). The initiative aims to understand how women working in the tourism sector face these challenges throughout their professional careers.
As part of the project, the EQUILIBRIA workshop will be held on October 23 – a participatory event that will bring together female executives, businesswomen, industry professionals, and representatives of women’s organizations. The main conclusions will be presented the next day during the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards, shifting the discussion from collective reflection to identifying shared experiences and challenges.
This approach is linked to a debate that goes beyond the realm of tourism: the need to redefine models of professional success to incorporate not only career achievements and advancement, but also the sustainability of personal life paths.
Ibiza as a platform for leadership and positive impact
Led by Eva Ballarin and Alicia Reina, the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards was created with the goal of bringing together the community of professional women in Ibiza and promoting leadership capable of having a positive impact on society and the local environment.
The project aims to highlight the contribution of women to the island’s value chain, reinforce the recognition of female talent as a driver of quality and innovation, and promote initiatives that strengthen Ibiza’s identity as a destination of excellence.
Its mission, therefore, goes beyond organizing an annual gala. The initiative aims to showcase Ibiza’s entrepreneurial, creative, and human dimensions beyond its borders, connecting local talent with a national and international dialogue on leadership, equal opportunities, and social transformation.
Now in its fifth year, the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards aims to examine leadership from a broader perspective: recognizing those who have paved the way, giving visibility to new role models, and addressing the conditions that allow for a sustainable long-term career. A conversation in which work-life balance ceases to be a mere individual aspiration and becomes a collective concern.
