Stars Against Cancer celebrated its fifth edition at the Nassau Beach Club in Ibiza, marking five years of commitment to ASPANOB and to the families of children and young people with cancer from Ibiza and Formentera. Founded by Nuria Moreno and chef Óscar Molina, the organization hosted an event that brought together gastronomy, charity, institutions, businesses, and the Ibizan community with a single goal: to join forces and help improve the lives of people going through one of the most difficult times of their lives.
This year’s gala featured 21 top-level chefs with a combined total of 28 Michelin stars: Óscar Molina, María Jiménez, Álvar Hinojal, Luis Veira, Carlos Maldonado, Samuel Naveira, Víctor Martín, Sergio Manzano, Juan José Losada, Lydia del Olmo, Víctor Suárez, Álvaro Garrido, Raúl Resino, Marc Segarra, Luis Valls, Pablo González, Israel Ramos, Rafael Soler, Aarón Ortiz, Cristian Palacio and Jordi Grau. They all traveled to Ibiza to cook voluntarily and, once again, turn gastronomy into a tool for solidarity.
One of the most moving moments came from the UD Ibiza soccer club, which made a particularly symbolic gesture: personalized official jerseys with the names of each sick child from Ibiza and Formentera who is hospitalized – a thoughtful gesture designed to convey the strength and affection of the entire island.

The excitement continued with the naming of the ambassadors for Estrellas contra el Cáncer 2026: Ksenija and Andrea from Photo Film Ibiza, Anthony Blake, and Cristina Pedroche, individuals who have lent their image and voice to help raise more visibility for the project and its cause. During the evening, Iberia Cards reaffirmed its commitment to Estrellas contra el Cáncer with a raffle for 50,000 Avios, joining the various charitable initiatives organized during the gala.
For Nuria Moreno, co-founder of Stars Against Cancer, reaching the fifth edition has a very special meaning: “Five years later, we’re still as excited as on the first day, but with a much larger family. Stars Against Cancer shows that when an entire island comes together for a cause, wonderful things can happen. Our goal has always been the same: to ensure that no family feels alone during such a difficult time.”

He also highlighted the generosity of the chefs and the support of the companies that make each edition possible. “The chefs come all the way to Ibiza, leave their restaurants and their teams behind, and cook purely out of the goodness of their hearts. But this event would also not be possible without our sponsors and collaborators. Behind this night are so many companies and people who believe in the project and who have walked alongside us for five years. To all of them, heartfelt thanks.”
The evening also featured representatives from the Sant Josep de Sa Talaia Town Hall, the Ibiza Council, the Government of the Balearic Islands, AETIB, and the Ibiza Town Hall, demonstrating the institutions’ support for this initiative. After an evening full of great food and emotion, the band Los del Varadero put the icing on the cake with a concert that turned the party into a true celebration of life and solidarity.
Five years after its creation, Estrellas contra el Cáncer continues to grow without losing sight of the spirit with which it was founded: to bring together people, businesses, the culinary world, and organizations so that solidarity reaches those who need it most. Because behind every star, there is a story.
