Webinars, workshops, and talks with experts during the Balearic Islands AI Week

The three Acelera pyme offices in the Balearic Islands will celebrate ‘AI Week’ from September 21 to 24, with a dozen activities, which will include awareness events, practical workshops, webinars, advisory and diagnostic sessions, as well as meetings with experts.

The objective is to help SMEs integrate AI into key areas of their business, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Administration.

The key agenda topics include business productivity and efficiency, process automation, marketing and sales, data analytics, digital strategy, secure and reliable AI, and the technology’s specific applications for the industry.

Red.es is an organization under the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Function through the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, and has launched the first ‘AI Week’ at the offices of the Acelera pyme network.

The initiative, developed in coordination with the network of offices, Its main objective is to highlight the practical and real-world application of artificial intelligence in the business sector across the country, allowing thousands of companies to learn about success stories, solutions tailored to their needs, and the responsible, ethical, and safe use of AI in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

The event will take place from September 21 to 24, with a program of activities spread throughout the country, which can be consulted on the Acelera pyme website, offering a practical and personalized approach through the participation of 54 Acelera pyme offices, which will organize a total of 146 activities.

The planned activities include awareness-raising events, practical workshops, webinars, advisory and diagnostic sessions, as well as meetings with experts to address topics such as productivity, process automation, marketing, data analysis, digital strategy, and safe, industry-specific AI.

Improving the competitiveness of SMEs

The proposal aims to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through five key objectives: explaining fundamental concepts, encouraging the adoption of innovative tools, driving digital transformation, sharing real-world use cases, and promoting ethical development. To close the event, an ‘Acelera pyme’ Office Day will be held, during which conclusions, experiences, and best practices will be shared.

An established network with 29 million euros in funding. Since the launch of its first call for proposals in 2020, the Acelera pyme network of offices has helped accelerate the digital transformation of the entrepreneurial sector, reaching more than 200,000 individual SMEs and organizing more than 12,000 activities across the country.

With its latest call for applications for 2025, which includes 76 offices nationwide, Red.es expands and renews its commitment to these advisory centers—both physical and virtual—that promote the adoption of technology and support digital entrepreneurship.

This 2025 call for proposals has a total budget of 29 million euros, funded by the Government of Spain and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the 2021-2027 period.
