Nautik Maritime Sustainability: The Future of the Blue Economy Comes Together on May 12 at Forbes House

Maritime sustainability has evolved from a mere statement of intent into the strategic cornerstone that shapes the future of our coastlines. On Tuesday, May 12, starting at 6:00 p.m., Forbes House will host Nautik | Maritime Sustainability, a conference dedicated to analyzing the transformation of transportation, ports, and energy. The event, moderated by Mercedes Martín, is sponsored by Marina Port Valencia and Denza.

The event will examine coastal sustainability and management during a panel discussion moderated by Nacho Gómez, editor of Nautik and CEO of El Role, featuring Jordi Carrasco, executive director of the National Association of Nautical Companies; Mario Caponnetto, technical director of Caponnetto Hueber; Rafael Fernández-Álava, Head of Communications for Costa Cruises in Spain and Portugal; and Tono Franco, Managing Director of Visit Valencia.

The discussion will then shift to infrastructure during the panel discussion titled “Seaports and Port Logistics, moderated by industry journalist Eva Miquel. Participants in this discussion will include Carlos Sanlorenzo, Secretary General of Balearia; Beatriz Orejudo, CEO of Lantimar Group; and Daniel Hernanz, Corporate Director of Business Development at Ghenova.

The Case of Marina Port Valencia

Beyond the theoretical debate, Nautik will highlight projects that are already bringing about the integration of cities and the sea. Patrick Reynés, CEO of Marina Port Valencia, will present this project as an example of how competitiveness and respect for the environment can coexist in the real world.
