Starting in mid-June, the simplicity of the on-demand economy will come to European ports, breaking down the traditional barriers of the maritime sector.
The partnership is no coincidence. On the one hand, Click&Boat, the global leader in boat rentals with a fleet of over 55,000 vessels, brings logistical muscle and technical expertise to the table. On the other hand, Uber integrates this service into its standard interface, making boating no longer a privilege reserved for experts but rather a part of everyday mobility.
A digital bridge to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic
The rollout has been designed with surgical precision, focusing on five key markets in Southern Europe: France, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, and Spain. In Spain, the operation is concentrated in seven strategic locations that combine business tourism with high-end leisure: Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, and Málaga on the mainland, and the islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, and Tenerife.
The integration is seamless. Users will find a dedicated “Boat” tab within the Uber app that will smoothly redirect them to Click&Boat to complete their booking, ensuring a consistent and fast user experience.
One of the biggest hurdles for the average user—the lack of a boating license—is eliminated right from the start. The offering is structured exclusively around the “Daily with Skipper” format (daily charter with a skipper included). This full-day model is not only the most in-demand option on the market, but it also ensures that the experience is purely recreational: from sunsets and water sports to snacks on the open sea, without the hassle of technical logistics.
From a financial standpoint, the partnership is committed to fair pricing. The prices listed on the Uber platform will be identical to those on Click&Boat, eliminating intermediary markups and providing complete transparency to the end consumer.
