On September 5 and 6, Valencia will host its first Spain Sail Grand Prix, one of the most spectacular and innovative sailing races on the international sports scene. The event, which will take place at Marina Port Valencia, will feature a new addition designed for Spanish fans: the Grada Marea Roja, an exclusive area where fans of the Los Gallos SailGP Team can cheer on the team up close.

Located across from the regatta course and offering an elevated view, the grandstand provides one of the best vantage points for the event. Ticket holders will have access to the full Race Stadium experience, including food and beverage services and merchandise stands, as well as a gift pack from the Spanish team, live race commentary, and the chance to enter a drawing for a Meet & Greet with the sailors and a Tech Tour. Tickets are limited and now on sale at tickets.sailgp.com/valencia while supplies last.
Los Gallos’ Big Moment
The event comes at a great time for the Spanish team, Los Gallos SailGP Team, which is having its best season yet in the Rolex SailGP Championship: It has made it to the podium in every Grand Prix held during Season 6 and currently sits in second place in the overall standings, closing the gap on the Australian Bond Flying Roos SailGP Team. Los Gallos arrive in Valencia on the heels of back-to-back victories in Halifax (Canada) and Portsmouth (England), making the Valencia race a key event in the title race.
Over the course of two days, the Valencian coastline will host the F50 catamarans, state-of-the-art foiling boats capable of exceeding 100 km/h. The races take place just off the coast—one of SailGP’s hallmarks that makes each Grand Prix a spectacle right in front of the spectators.
Valencia Will Host Again in 2027
The city has already secured its place on the international calendar. SailGP confirmed in May that Valencia will, for the second consecutive year, be the sole Spanish host of the championship, this time on September 4 and 5, 2027, during the competition’s seventh season. The race course will once again be located off Malvarrosa Beach.
The 2027 season will be the most ambitious to date, with 13 races—three more than the current season—and will kick off in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor on January 23 and 24. From there, the championship will travel to Perth (Western Australia) and continue on a North American tour through San Francisco, Bermuda, Halifax, and New York, before moving to Europe for a summer schedule that includes Portsmouth (England), Sassnitz (Germany), Valencia, and Italy—the specific venue in Italy has not yet been revealed. The season will conclude with races in Rio de Janeiro and Dubai, ahead of the grand finale, whose date and venue will be confirmed at a later date.
