The ninth edition of the OD Awards 2026, organized by Grupo Ramat and IbizArt Guide, brought together more than 400 people at the Hotel Ocean Drive Talamanca for a splendid evening of art-focused gatherings and a gala hosted by actress África Serenella. Under the motto “Repair to Create,“ the event invited attendees to look at everything that has been broken or discarded from a new perspective and discover the starting point for a new work of art.
The theme of this edition was also reflected in the gift presented to the attendees: unique pieces created by the artist Laura Huguet Nonó with clay scraps discarded from her studio. Each piece features a word rendered in 10-karat gold leaf, in a design inspired by the philosophy of kintsugi and the value of the marks left by the repair process.
During the ceremony, the awards for the IbizArt Guide group exhibition, held at the Jesús Cultural Center, were presented. Martín Díaz won the first prize, which includes a trophy by Stella Rahola and a publication in the IbizArt Guide 2027; Laura Huguet Nonó won the second prize, a work by Marcel Zauner, while Marta Santamaría received the third prize, a page in the next edition of the publication. Visitors to the exhibition participated in the selection process by casting their votes.
The OD Art Awards 2026 also recognized León Orozco with the Discovery Award, which honors last year’s most outstanding exhibition at the Ocean Drive hotels, and Luis Miguel Romero (Rom Ero) with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The event concluded with the awarding of prizes for the ‘Repair to Create’ contest. Clàudia Vives-Fierro received the first prize, of 1,500 euros. Although she was unable to attend due to a prior commitment, she shared her excitement and gratitude with the organizers by phone. The second prize, of 800 euros, went to EL.RoL, and the third prize, of 300 euros, to Laura Echaniz.
The jury for the ‘Repair to Create’ competition was composed of Elena Ruíz, Diana Pintado, Sarah Suco, Sergio Sancho, Emma Salahi, Stefan Bruggeman, and Anna Bigas, professionals working in various disciplines within the fields of art and culture.
The OD Art Awards were created to give greater visibility to local artists and to those who have made Ibiza their creative home. The competition is part of Ocean Drive’s cultural program, with its hotels hosting exhibitions, concerts, talks, and other activities throughout the year that bring residents and visitors together.
