Ibiza is much more than just an international tourist destination. It is also a place where communities of different origins coexist, helping to shape its social and cultural identity. This diversity will be the main feature of the 2026 Meeting of Peoples, a multicultural event to be held on October 24 and 25 at the Ibiza Exhibition Center.

Organized by the Department of Youth, Citizen Participation, and the Sa Coma Island Service Park of the Ibiza Island Council, the event will bring together thirteen organizations to showcase their traditions, music, dances, and cuisine to the public. An opportunity to discover the cultural richness of the communities living on the island through an experience that combines education, leisure, and public participation.

A trip around the world without leaving Ibiza

Over the two days, the participating associations will have their own booths where they will showcase their activities and display objects representative of their cultures of origin. The program will be rounded out with musical performances, songs, dances, and other traditional expressions that will bring a taste of Ibiza’s cultural diversity to the fairgrounds.

One of the main attractions will be the international food tasting, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Attendees will be able to sample dishes representative of the different regions and discover some of their customs and traditions through their cuisine. The event will also be designed for families, with a children’s play area featuring workshops and attractions. The goal is to make the event a participatory experience for all ages, where cultural exchange goes hand in hand with entertainment.

The Meeting of Peoples will be open Saturday, October 24, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, October 25, from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Thirteen local entities, one island

The 2026 edition will feature thirteen organizations representing a wide variety of origins and traditions: the House of Cantabria, the House of Valencia, the Dominican Association, the Philippine Union Association, the Brazilian Association, the Bolivian Association, the Paraguayan Association, the Rociera Confraternity of Sant Antoni, the Tahiti Ibiza French Polynesia Association, the Association of Ecuadorians of Ibiza and Formentera, the Romanian Cultural Association of Ibiza and Formentera, the Islamic Center of Ibiza, and the Federation of Groups.

Beyond its festive appearance, the Meeting of Peoples aims to establish itself as a forum to bring together the different communities that make up the Eivissan society. This initiative highlights the role of cultural associations as links between people, traditions, and generations, and invites visitors to discover the island’s diversity from an open and participatory perspective.
