Forbes Balears presents itself in Ibiza to highlight the island’s leadership and business community

The new editorial project from Forbes España and SpainMedia will be officially presented this Friday in Ibiza, with the attendance of Andrés Rodríguez and the president of the Ibiza Council, Vicente Marí.

This Friday, October 9, Ibiza will host the official island launch of Forbes Baleares, the new publication from Forbes España and SpainMedia dedicated to showcasing the talent, leadership, and business community of the Balearic Islands. The event will take place starting at 12 noon at the Sa Capella restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany and will be presided over by the President of the Ibiza Council, Vicente Marí, who will participate in the event along with Andrés Rodríguez, President of SpainMedia and Editor of Forbes Spain. The Island Council is sponsoring the event.

Forbes Balears has launched with the clear objective of becoming a leading platform to showcase and recognize the people, companies, and projects that contribute to the development and profile of the Balearic Islands. With a local focus and an international perspective, the publication will explore the present and future of the Balearic Islands through its key players.

The new publication, which has been active for six months, also has a distinctive feature that reinforces its commitment to transparency: it is a trilingual publication, in Catalan, Spanish, and English, and will expand Forbes’ traditional focus on the economy and business to also incorporate areas closely linked to the identity and profile of the islands, such as culture, gastronomy, tourism, and lifestyle.

The project was officially launched last April in Palma, at an event held on the terrace of the Meliá Victoria Hotel and presided over by Marga Prohens, President of the Government of the Balearic Islands. The launch event, which brought together institutional representatives, business leaders, and key figures from the archipelago’s economic and social fabric, marked the launch of the first regional edition of Forbes in Spain – a strategic initiative by SpainMedia to align the international brand with the economic, business, and social realities of the Balearic Islands.

During this presentation, Andrés Rodríguez specifically highlighted Forbes’s commitment to the islands and its desire to put a global brand ‘at the service’ of the local community. The new publication has therefore been launched with the goal of sharing stories of talent, innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship originating from the Balearic Islands with the entire world, while also helping to strengthen the connection between the different territories of the archipelago.

This Friday’s program in Ibiza will begin with the reception of guests and a welcome drink. At 12:30 PM, the official opening will take place, which will include the screening of the Forbes Baleares corporate video. Next, Andrés Rodríguez will deliver the welcome address, in which he will present the vision and objectives of this new editorial project. After his speech, Vicente Marí, President of the Ibiza Council, will give an institutional address highlighting the importance of the business community and the talent of the islands.

The event will conclude with a group photo and a glass of Spanish wine, giving attendees the opportunity to continue sharing their opinions and start new conversations about the present and future of the Balearic Islands.

With this launch in Ibiza, Forbes Balears consolidates the project it started in Palma and reinforces its commitment to having a presence throughout the archipelago, giving visibility to the leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and projects that embody the strength and diversity of the islands, and connecting local talent with a national and international audience.
