Radio host, broadcaster, presenter, and creator. That’s how Menorca native Carlos Roca describes himself on his own website; he has also worked as a reporter and voice actor. Now, as the icing on the cake, he can add his recognition by Forbes as the Best Podcast Content Creator of 2026. The career of this professional from the Menorcan Islands reached a new national level this Tuesday when he received an award that highlights the growth of Roca Project, the video podcast through which he has established himself as one of the leading voices in the conversational format.
The award was presented on September 29 at the Italian Embassy in Madrid during the Forbes Best Content Creators 2026 ceremony, an awards program through which Forbes Spain honors some of the creators who have turned their digital platforms into true professional and business ventures.
Roca received the award from Álex Roca at a gala hosted by Javi Hoyos and attended by representatives from the business, media, and content creation sectors. The award specifically recognizes the format of Roca Project, a video podcast that has made in-depth conversations its hallmark. The program combines interviews, stories of overcoming adversity, and unfiltered conversations with experts, influencers, and everyday people, with a focus on personal stories.
The Relationship with the Audience
For Carlos Roca, the award also holds special significance because of the role the audience plays in any creator’s journey. During his acceptance speech, he emphasized the importance of viewing content creation as a collaborative effort: “Life is a team effort.” In this way, the Menorcan creator sought to shine a spotlight precisely on those on the other side of the screen. “The partnership also includes the audience,” he noted, before emphasizing the relationship between creator and audience: “Every time someone asks you for a photo, thanks you, tells you they love you, or says you make them happy, don’t forget that you owe them a little bit of what you have; I owe them a lot.”
The Forbes Spain award marks yet another recognition of a career dedicated to communications, which has found in the podcast format a new way to connect with audiences. From Menorca, Carlos Roca has managed to take “Roca Project” beyond the Balearic Islands and put it on the national map of content creation.
The award is part of an edition of the Best Content Creators in which Forbes Spain has once again highlighted the importance of content creators within the digital, social, and commercial ecosystem. During the gala, Italy’s ambassador to Spain, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, highlighted the strategic role that content creators currently play. For his part, Andrés Rodríguez, president of SpainMedia and director and editor of Forbes Spain, emphasized both their ability to generate new forms of communication and the responsibility that comes with their growing influence.
Among the ten awards presented this year, the “Best Podcast Content Creator 2026 by Michelin” award honors Carlos Roca for a project that embodies precisely that evolution: the transformation of content creation into a profession, a brand, and a business, without compromising the value of stories and conversation.
All the Award Winners
The gala brought together some of the most prominent names in content creation in Spain. Among the award winners were Sara Baceiredo, recognized as Best Beauty & Wellness Content Creator; Luis Lozano, honored for his work raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease; Hermanos Buyer, named Best YouTube Creator; Carlota Marañón, honored in the business content category; Sara Ardanaz, named Best Travel Content Creator; and Fabiana Sevillano, recognized for her storytelling skills. Rounding out the list of winners were Sheila Ebana, named Public Figure of the Year; Guadalupe Fiñana, “Abuela de Dragones” (Grandmother of Dragons), chosen by the public; and Rocío Bueno (RoRo), who received the award for Best Content Creator of the Year.
The 2026 edition also paid tribute to the pioneers of this industry with Forbes Best Content Creators “ORIGINALS,” a selection of 40 creators with established careers, including Aida Domenech, known as Dulceida. It was an evening that highlighted the evolution of a profession that, in just a few years, has gone from being an emerging phenomenon to becoming an industry in its own right.
