A total of 5,346 spectators attended the first 18 performances of the 'Nits de Bellver' series, which were held between June 10 and July 31 at Bellver Castle.
According to a statement issued by the Palma City Council, the series has so far recorded an average attendance of 74.3 percent and has grossed 96,883 euros. In addition, the ten performances scheduled for August are already sold out.
The City Council has indicated that it expects attendance levels to remain at the same level for the rest of the program, in line with the fact that all concerts scheduled for August are already sold out.
The series continues this Thursday at 9:00 PM with a new edition of the Jazz Palma Festival, which will open with a performance by the Harlem Gospel Travelers, a concert that is also sold out.
Subsequently, on August 11, the Mallorcan Dancers' Gala will take place as part of the third edition of the Dance Gala, which also sold out weeks ago.
The program will continue with some of the main events on the summer calendar, such as concerts by the Pep Garau Sextet; Marcel Cranc along with the Female Choir of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB); and Combo Batanga, as part of the Palma Jazz Festival.
The series will conclude on August 29 with one of the most anticipated performances of these 'Nights of Bellver': a concert by the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra, which will perform Gustav Mahler's 'Symphony No. 1'.
The production will bring 80 musicians to the stage of the Patio d'Armas of Bellver Castle, where the third edition of the series will conclude.
Javier Bonet, the Councilor for Culture of the City of Palma, highlighted that the public's response "confirms the City of Palma's commitment to a diverse and high-quality cultural program, open to all audiences."
