Balearic

This is how the CAN Ibiza Art Fair 2026 will be, the fair that positions the island as the epicenter of contemporary art in the Balearic Islands

One of the festival’s true highlights is the OFF Program, which will take place from May 29 to June 28 and will bring art beyond the festival grounds.

The “white island” will be filled with color and art from June 25 to 28 with the fifth edition of the CAN Ibiza 2026 Art Fair. Already established as one of the must-see cultural events of the summer in the Balearic Islands, the fair returns to the FECOEV exhibition center to showcase avant-garde works that see their artistic magic come to life in this unique setting.

Coinciding with the start of the summer season and increasingly linked to Ibiza Art Week, CAN Art Ibiza celebrates contemporary art and the creativity of its artists through a unique experience that invites visitors to discover the artistic expressions of new trends in the context of a Mediterranean landscape.

Painting, sculpture, and installations are just some of the artistic forms through which this event interprets reality, bringing together works by established and emerging artists represented by international galleries. Thanks to its curated nature—in which galleries are invited rather than applying—the selection, led by Sasha Bogojev, ensures coherence, freshness, and a close connection to the latest trends. Around 30 galleries from around the world will participate in this edition.

Additionally, CAN Art Ibiza is expanding its reach with initiatives like CAN Design, which focuses on the fusion of art, design, architecture, and craftsmanship, as well as public art projects and collaborations with local institutions. All of this comes together to create a holistic experience that goes beyond the traditional concept of an art fair, becoming an event where art, the environment, and culture are understood and integrated to offer a unique perspective and experience on the island of Pitiusan.

Their OFF program is very active in Ibiza.

One of the fair’s true strengths is the OFF Program, which will take place from May 29 to June 28 and will bring art beyond the fairgrounds. This program will bring works of art to various iconic spaces throughout the island, bringing contemporary art closer to both local audiences and visitors. The program will feature artists Marina Marón, Catalina Julve, Federica Furbelli, and Antonio Villanueva, strengthening the bond between the fair and Balearic and international talent.

Talent from the Balearic Islands

So far, only a few artists have been confirmed. However, there is no doubt that the talent from the Balearic Islands will be one of the highlights of this contemporary art event.

Catalina Julve (1972, Manacor, Mallorca) is a self-taught, multidisciplinary visual artist who lives and works in Mallorca. Beginning with figurative painting, she has developed a style close to realism and neo-expressionism, which she has gradually expanded to include photography, monotype, installation, and conceptual drawing. Through her technique, she seeks to express various reflections on the human condition.

His work focuses on the human footprint on the landscape, linking history, tradition, and the present. Through disciplines such as painting, video, and printmaking, he creates spaces for reflection, looking toward the past. He has participated in exhibitions and art fairs both nationally and internationally, and his work is part of collections such as the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art, among others.
