In April, the Balearic Islands recorded 1.3 million international tourist arrivals, a 1.4% increase compared to the same month last year, according to the Border Tourist Traffic statistics released Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
According to the same data, between January and April, the archipelago welcomed 2.2 million international tourists, a 2.1% increase compared to the first four months of 2025.
In terms of spending, international tourists spent 1.554 billion euros in the Canary Islands in April, 1.76% less than in April 2025. From January through April, total spending reached 2.641 billion euros, an increase of 0.68%.
Each person spent an average of 1,132 euros on their trips, a 3.07% decrease, while daily spending stood at 205 euros, a 4.54% increase.
Furthermore, INE statistics indicate that the average length of stays in April was 5.52 days, a 7.29% decrease.
