The Mallorcan company Summum Hotel Group has added the R2 Peguera Park and the R2 Ponent to its portfolio, which it manages in collaboration with R2 Hotels, the chain owned by the German group Schauinsland-Reisen.
The hotel chain explained in a statement that the transaction is part of the strategic agreement reached in early 2026 between Summum and R2 Hotels.
The R2 Peguera Park, which is scheduled to open next May, will be a four-star resort complex aimed primarily at families and couples, and will have 215 rooms.
Meanwhile, R2 Ponent, which is scheduled to open in March 2027, will be a 54-apartment complex located by the sea, between two beaches in Peguera.
With this transaction, the Mallorcan company now has a total of 47 hotels, including 42 operating properties and five under development, located in the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Toledo, Girona, and Medellín (Colombia).
Additionally, the German chain, which is part of Schauinsland-Reisen, currently has 11 properties spread across Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, and Mallorca.
