David Guetta has been crowned the World’s No. 1 DJ for the sixth time—an unprecedented milestone—following the announcement of the results of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 during the Top 100 DJs LIVE ceremony at [UNVRS] in Ibiza. The world’s largest music poll, determined by popular vote, recorded a record number of verified votes from a total of 234 territories, demonstrating once again the international reach of electronic music. Retaining the title of World’s No. 1 DJ caps off another extraordinary year for the French superstar.

His tracks have racked up another 5 billion streams, and he has become the first artist to reach 22 number-one hits on the U.S. Dance Airplay chart. In addition to being the DJ with the most streams on Spotify, he remains among the top ten most-streamed artists in the world on the platform, across all music genres. With this year’s victory, he now has six wins, making him the most decorated DJ in the history of the Top 100 DJs.

Guetta has played an undeniable role in transforming the global pop scene and establishing electronic music as one of its dominant forces. His sold-out concerts last summer at the Stade de France, featuring guest appearances by Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Black Coffee, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Bebe Rexha, and the Black Eyed Peas, proved that Guetta now plays in a league historically reserved for the giants of rock & roll.

More than 240,000 people attended those three historic, sold-out concerts in Paris. He also took his massive Monolith show to Red Rocks and Coachella, as well as to arenas and stadiums across Europe—all while juggling his two residencies in Ibiza: F*** Me I’m Famous! at Ushuaïa Ibiza and Galactic Circus at [UNVRS]. During the Top 100 DJs LIVE ceremony at [UNVRS]—voted the World’s No. 1 Club in its first year—awards were presented to David Guetta (The World’s No. 1 DJ), Charlotte de Witte (The World’s No. 1 Techno DJ), Indira Paganotto (The World’s No. 1 Psy DJ), Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (The World’s No. 1 DJ Group), Luciano (Outstanding Contribution), and Anastazja (Future Star).

The night featured performances by David Guetta, Anyma, Charlotte de Witte, Vintage Culture, GORDO, Korolova, and Anastazja. Other award winners, announced online, include Armin van Buuren (The World’s No. 1 Trance DJ), FISHER (The World’s No. 1 House DJ), Sara Landry (The World’s No. 1 Hard DJ), and Josh Baker (Highest New Entry).

Overall, 2026 has brought significant changes to the rankings, with 13 new entries and three artists returning to the list. The results also reflect the continued rise of house and techno, with a wave of new names and up-and-coming artists from both genres who have managed to carve out a spot in the rankings. Anyma climbs seven spots to No. 3, while Charlotte de Witte rises to No. 6. Fred again.. climbs 17 spots to No. 16, and John Summit, Mau P, and CHRIS STASSY each climb 22 spots, sharing the “Highest Climber” distinction. Indira Paganotto climbs ten spots and enters the top 30, becoming the first winner of The World’s No. 1 Psy DJ award, while British house artist Josh Baker is this year’s Highest New Entry, debuting at No. 40.

Guetta shared his first impressions of this recognition on social media. “Wow, six times! That’s a big deal! I feel very honored. It’s been one of the most exciting years of my career, but what makes me happiest is seeing how electronic music is reaching a whole new level. Now DJs are filling stadiums that were once reserved for the biggest pop and rock stars. It’s not just about me—it’s about the whole community. When one of us does well, it benefits us all. I’m also really excited about the new generation of DJs and the energy they’re bringing to the scene. What I see in the clubs is happiness: people dancing like there’s no tomorrow. Dancing again, having fun, smiling, and going wild with friends is back in style. To me, it all feels more authentic, and I love it. Becoming the first artist to win the Top 100 DJs six times—and doing it right at a moment like this for electronic music—is incredible.”
