What began in Croatia as a floating housing project in 2018 is now entering a new phase. Oasis Meu is preparing to launch Amor II, an evolution of its original concept for a floating residence that features more space, more sophisticated architecture, and, most notably, an electric propulsion system.
The new yacht was recently unveiled through images that offer a first look at much of its exterior and interior spaces. The first Amor II is currently in production and, according to Robb Report, is scheduled for delivery in early 2027.
The new model represents a significant leap forward from the first Oasis Meu Amor. While that first unit was designed as a compact floating home of approximately 40 m², Amor II takes the concept to a three-story configuration, creating a home with much more generous volume and living space.
The architecture of Amor II is designed around a large central living area, with a very direct connection between the interior and exterior. The first images show a spacious living room surrounded by large glass walls, which allow natural light and views of the water to take center stage and open directly onto the outdoor terrace, reinforcing that sense of continuity between the home and its surroundings.
The layout also includes a master suite, designed as a separate space that opens onto the outdoors, with the same emphasis on views and natural light as the rest of the home.
At the stern is a spacious terrace, designed as one of the main outdoor living areas (ideal for dining, relaxing, or simply enjoying the scenery from water level). Above it, the roof features a solar panel system that covers a significant portion of the available surface area and blends seamlessly into the home’s architecture, while also making the most of the building’s height and the views of the surrounding area.
One of the most significant changes from the original concept lies below the waterline. Amor II features an electric propulsion system, a solution that combines the idea of a floating residence with the ability to travel more quietly and with less reliance on conventional propulsion systems.
The integration of electric propulsion is particularly consistent with the overall vision of Oasis Meu, which from its inception has sought to combine housing, energy self-sufficiency, and direct contact with nature. The company had already incorporated solar panels and energy storage into its original concept; in Amor II, these elements take on greater significance within a considerably larger platform.
An Evolution of First Love
To understand Amor II, we must go back to the origins of Oasis Meu. The company was founded in Split, Croatia, based on an idea developed in 2018. The project was presented as a new way of living on the water and received several awards during its early stages of development.
The final design was completed in 2021, and construction of the first unit began in 2022. That vessel was named Oasis Meu Amor and was delivered in 2023. The first generation featured a floating residence of about 40 m², with capacity for four people, two levels, a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and outdoor spaces, as well as a pool and systems designed to promote energy self-sufficiency. Amor II is based on that same philosophy but significantly increases the scale.
The first unit, under construction
Although the images of Amor II may give the impression that it is a finished model, it is currently a project in the production phase. The first unit is currently under construction and is scheduled for delivery in early 2027.
This represents a significant difference from the first Amor, which was actually built and delivered. Amor II thus represents the next phase of the project: a larger, three-story platform that maintains the philosophy of a floating residence but incorporates more ambitious architecture and electric propulsion.
A concept that is carving out its own niche
Oasis Meu operates in a sector that is still relatively uncommon in the boating world. It does not seek to compete directly with large luxury yachts or traditional recreational boats: its concept lies somewhere between a home, a boat, and tourist accommodations, and the ability to have a home on the water, move it, and position it at different destinations creates a product designed for both private use and tourism.
With Amor II, the company aims to expand the scale and sophistication of this concept. And in early 2027—if the announced schedule holds—we’ll be able to see how this new interpretation of Oasis Meu performs on the water: a three-story home that doesn’t want to look like a conventional boat, but which retains precisely what sets a houseboat apart: the possibility of living with water literally beneath your feet.
