From September 18 to 20, Ibiza will add a new dimension to its already established international appeal with the second edition of the Ibiza International Balloon Festival, an event that will bring a combination of spectacle, experiences, and international exposure to the island’s skies.
For three days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy hot air balloon rides, exhibitions, and activities for all ages, as part of an event that aims to transform the Ibiza landscape into the majestic setting for an experience that is difficult to replicate.
The first hours of the day will be one of the festival’s main attractions. At dawn, hot air balloons will take off to offer a unique view of Ibiza, with the Mediterranean as a backdrop and the first light of day accompanying the flight. If the weather permits, the program will also include a nighttime experience, taking advantage of the island’s unique light during the last hours of the day.
The main event will take place on Saturday the 19th in the evening with the Night Glow, one of the festival’s most spectacular visual moments. The balloons will remain on the ground while their burners ignite to the rhythm of the music, creating a nighttime spectacle of light, color, and sound.

The presence of international pilots and teams reinforces the project’s goal of becoming a flagship event on Ibiza’s calendar. Beyond the spectacle, the festival offers a formula that combines tourism, entertainment, and local participation, with the aim of attracting new visitors and creating a shared experience between the island’s residents and those who arrive from elsewhere.
In an increasingly experience-driven tourism market, the Ibiza Balloon Festival is leveraging what Ibiza does best: making its landscape the star of the show. This time, from above and with the Mediterranean sky as a backdrop.
An experience to enjoy with family or friends, offering a new way to discover one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic destinations: Ibiza seen from the air, bathed in a kaleidoscope of colors.
